Assoc. Prof. Dr. Voon Chun Hong is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from UniMAP in 2013. His research expertise centers on the synthesis, characterization, and application of nanomaterials—specifically carbon, silicon carbide (SiC), and zinc oxide (ZnO)—for advanced biosensors, nanocomposites, and wastewater treatment technologies.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Voon has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. His significant contributions to the scientific community are reflected in his Scopus H-index of 30 and over 4,600 total citations. In recognition of his global research impact, he was recognized in the 2023 World's Top 2% Scientists list by Stanford University.
